Prior to the opening of the show, Valerie Rogers, the show's promoter presented Rayla Molzon (Teddy and Me) with a Winners Certificate. Her bear was selected for the collector's invitation postcards.

Ken Yenke at the Chelsea Toy Museum

Ken Yenke and his wife Brenda, love teddy bears and most of their collection can be seen at the Chelsea Teddy Bear Factory and Toy Museum in Chelsea, Michigan where he is curator. Brenda prepares the showcases with Holiday and Winter scenes for you to enjoy.

We all popped in on Saturday before the Sunday Show to see the collection and learn more about teddy bear collecting!

Ann B. from Royal Oak, Mi was happy to win but wanted to buy Valerie's sparklie ring!
Every hour there was a drawing for "$20 Bear Bucks" and they were awarded to the lucky winners. |
Maggie and Phyllis were two lucky winners and anxious to spend their prize money on a few more bears! |

The showroom was packed throughout the day. Many bears found new homes and
delighted the collectors as well as the artists. |

Jan Cuming from Wellington, New Zealand donned a holiday sweater and an ornament necklace that she made.

"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" and Jacquie Pollitt was dress for the celebration!
|
Near the closing of the show, Valerie dressed in a Holiday, passed out gifts to the artists.
"Ann Arbor is the last show of our season, we celebrate the occasion and we will miss seeing each other until we once again meet in the 2011 Spring Bright Star Promotion's shows.
