Show Review and Memories
Embassy Suites St. Louis Airport - Sunday February 22, 2009

Traveling makes a person hungry and several artists stopped for lunch early Saturday morning. They were introduced to a little Australian Bear that is traveling around the world. So small he can fit into a wine glass!

Amazed at the details on the small Aussie Bear, Valerie Rogers wonders if he stopped in St. Louis for a little imbibing?

After the little bear circulates around the globe he will be auctioned off for charity.

Saturday a group of artists met to enjoy some shopping, antiquing and commraderie in Old Town, St. Charles, Missouri. It was a warm day!

Spring in bloom in Missouri

Sue VanNatten found some rare treasures at the St. Charles Antique Mall' a favorite place.

Art's parents enjoyed a blistful moment after walking the streets of St. Charles!

Braddens Restaurant in St. Charles was the perfect choice for dinner!

Collector's joined the artists for dinner too!

Nothing better than getting together for dinner and enjoying the food!

Everyone was impressed with the delicious food and presentation.

Cheers for Bradden's!

Jim and Sue VanNatten dug into the Missouri Mud Pie!

Now George, did you really eat the whole thing?

George Weber surrounds himself with the gracious servers, Ashley and Debbie, who made our dinner so much fun!

Dinner fun at Bradden's!

One piece of cheesecake and three spoons!

Teddy Bear Artists love meeting the collectors and creating special bears but the night before the show they enjoy sharing commraderie over dinner. Dinner usually lasts for several hours!

The St. Louis area teddy bear show continued with enthusiasm even though the numbers were down. "Still lots of exciting artists and bears to thrill me," said Debbie

Before the St. Louis Teddy Bear Show opened the doors...

Valerie Rogers presented Tudy Huffman a Winner's Certificate for her bear photograph that was selected to be printed on the collector's invitation postcards.

Congratulations Tudy!

Attending collectors receive a special invitation each year, and artists vie for the cover position.

Tudy shows off her bears and the Winner's Certificate.

Art fills his plate with morning treats provided for the artists and the Early Bird Shoppers.

Participating Teddy Bear Artists are always happy!

Collector's Choice Contest - winner's chosen!

Collectors tried to decide, which of the lovely bears on display, was their favorite. "They each are so adorable," said one of the guests. Tokens were dropped in corresponding ballot boxes and tallied around 2:30 p.m. and the winners announced.

All the artist who entered the contest gathered and wondered who would be the winner!

Third place went to Betty Franks of BJ's Bears for her Annie Bear.

Second place went to Judy Mathis of Judy's Raggedy Country for her miniature bear. Can you see Murphy in her hand?
